Job Description
The Lead Estimator will lead and manage the estimating function within the Sales Branch by analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare accurate time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services.
Requirements
- Coordinate and prioritize incoming requests for quotation generated by the field sales team across assigned commercial glazing contractor territories.
- Review architectural plans, specifications, and related data to determine material, labor, and equipment requirements.
- Prepare detailed, itemized cost estimates.
- Consult with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to clarify project requirements, develop accurate estimates, and resolve scope or pricing issues.
- Analyze completed projects to compare estimated costs to actual costs and determine the reason for any discrepancies; provide improvement recommendations.
