Camp Lifeguard (Seasonal)

The Lifeguard position at Camp Lowe creates a safe and positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals while promoting and maintaining safe swimming conditions in the pool, beach, and surrounding areas in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 16
• Certifications: Basic life support or professional rescuer CPR/AED, and first aid.
• Current YMCA Lifeguard or equivalent Waterfront Lifeguard Certification
• Child abuse prevention training within 30 days of hire date
• Ability to maintain certification-level physical and mental readiness.
• Must demonstrate lifeguard skills in accordance with YMCA standards.

Benefits

• 40+ hours per week
• $18.00/hr for new hires
• $18.50/hr for returning seasonal lifeguards with 1 year employment history
• $19.00 for returning seasonal lifeguards with 2+ years of employment history
