The School Age Site Assistant will supervise the day-to-day operations of the center, provide daily care for children, and implement age-appropriate classroom activities. The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least one year of experience providing education/care to children kindergarten through sixth grade in a group setting.
Requirements
- Supervise children and staff in the absence of the School Age Coordinator
- Provide daily care for children, including feeding and supporting social/emotional needs
- Implement positive behavior management techniques
- Plan and implement daily age-appropriate classroom activities
- Observe children and document their progress and development
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, branch administration, and parents
- Ensure the facility and all equipment is clean, well-maintained, and safe
