Job Description
The Aquatics Site Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the pool area, including life guarding, testing, recording of chemicals, maintenance of equipment, and overall cleanliness. They are the primary point of contact for aquatics-related inquiries and issues.
Requirements
- Maintains a neat and clean pool area
- Demonstrates excellent customer service
- Responds to patron concerns in a timely manner
- Reports incidents and concerns to Aquatics Director or Associate Director
- Attends staff meetings and trainings
- Follows all policies and procedures
- Maintains appropriate chemical levels in the pool
- Actively functions as a lifeguard 20-25 scheduled hours per week
- Ensures that lifeguards are following and enforcing YMCA policy
- Conducts orientations/shadow shifts for new lifeguards
- Schedules and performs routine pool maintenance
- Meets with Aquatics Director weekly to report on staff behaviors and any facility or equipment needs
