Job Description
The Group Exercise Instructor is responsible for designing and instructing safe, high-quality, effective, challenging, and fun group exercise classes. This includes selecting appropriate music and tempo, overseeing equipment and supplies, and demonstrating multiple movement modifications. The instructor must also maintain a positive rapport with participants and encourage member involvement in YMCA programs and events.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Certification in CPR and First Aid
- Current national Group Exercise Instructor certification
- Ability to work with people of different backgrounds and abilities
