Job Description
The position is for a group exercise instructor within the Rankin YMCA, Edmond, OK. Instructors will prepare participants for classes, teach group exercise, answer questions, and build community. They must stay current in certifications, maintain a strong professional demeanor, and contribute to a positive health and wellness program. The role focuses on increasing membership, volunteer engagement, and member well-being.
Requirements
- CPR/AED/O2 and First Aid certification
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School education or equivalent
- 6 months or 60 hours of practical experience as a group exercise instructor
- Must be able to lift in excess of ten pounds
- YMCA Healthy Lifestyles and YMCA Foundations of Group Exercise or National Certification
