Job Description
The Bus Driver is responsible for safely transporting YMCA participants to and from YMCA programs, schools, and community locations, modeling the YMCA core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.
Requirements
- Safely operate YMCA vehicles in compliance with all state and local traffic laws
- Transport program participants to and from designated locations according to assigned schedules
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly
- Maintain accurate attendance, mileage, and trip logs as required
- Communicate effectively with YMCA staff regarding schedules, delays, or concerns
- Follow YMCA policies, safety procedures, and emergency protocols
- Maintain cleanliness and orderly condition of the vehicle
- Provide courteous, professional interactions with participants, families, staff, and community partners
