Job Description
Provides swim lessons to children and adults of all levels and abilities under the direction of the Aquatics Coordinator/Director. Instructs participants, evaluates students, and maintains a safe and professional environment.
Requirements
- Successfully meet the Association's policies on background screening
- Proficiency of swimming strokes and the ability to instruct and demonstrate in a group or individual session
- Ability to perform life saving techniques if necessary
- Ability to forge mutually respectful partnerships with persons served
- Able to maintain confidentiality
- Must be a self starter, with high energy and a positive attitude
- Adhere to drug/alcohol/smoke free workplace policy
- Ability to instruct and observe participants in proper stroke techniques
- Ability to lift equipment, and to lift a small to average size child
