Requirements
- Minimum of 21 years of age.
- Red Cross or YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor certification (Trainer Level Certification preferred).
- Red Cross Lifeguarding or YMCA Lifeguarding certification.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in the following preferred: Lifeguard Supervision, Risk Management and safety programming.
- Minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience preferred.
- Certification through the YMCA, American Swim Coaches Association (ASCA), or USA Swimming is preferred.
- Certification in YMCA Swim Official Level 1.
- Certification in Principles of YMCA Competitive Swimming and Diving is required within the first year of employment.
- Certified Pool Operator certification within 6 months of hire.
