Job Description
The Summer Camp Counselor is responsible for the supervision, health and safety of an assigned group of children ages 5-12 years old at the Northern Neck Family YMCA. The role requires modeling the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility and promoting a professional work environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- One year of experience working with children in a supervised setting preferred
- Proof of a negative TB test within the last two years
- Certification in CPR/First Aid/AED/O2 prior to first day of working at camp
- Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check, sex offender registry check, and Child Protective Services check
