The Association Director of Teen & Youth Programs provides strategic and operational leadership for youth and teen programming across the YMCA of Greater Rochester.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in education, recreation, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in youth development, teen programming or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory and leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience working with teens, youth leadership programs, or civic engagement initiatives
- Strong knowledge of child safety, youth development best practices, and applicable regulations
- Experience managing budgets, grants, or program funding preferred
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders including staff, volunteers, schools, community partners, and vendors
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and travel as needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general technology platforms
- CPR/AED and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain within required timeframe
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly between YMCA locations
