Job Description
The Dance Instructor will instruct and supervise participants in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, musical theater, and/or other dance disciplines. They will establish supportive relationships with children and parents, focus on YMCA values like honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring, and contribute to program activities.
Requirements
- Deliver course content following industry standard dance criteria.
- Develop and implement sequential weekly lesson plans.
- Successfully demonstrate, instruct and supervise dance class.
- Maintain records as required.
- Report issues to director.
- CPR, First Aid, AED certifications
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Effective communication with diverse groups
