Shelter Support Specialist (part time)

YWCA Central Alabama is a non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all. Provide support to the clients in the Domestic Violence Shelter, maintaining the safety and security of the individuals in the shelter, adhering to shelter policies, and ensuring smooth operation of the facility.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is minimum educational requirement; additional education appreciated.
• Experience providing direct services to individuals and families in crisis, preferably within a congregant shelter setting.
• Valid driver's license, safe driving record, and personal vehicle insurance.
• Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check including a CA/N report administered by DHR.
