Job Description
As a lifeguard at YWCA Central Massachusetts, monitor the safety of members in the pool and pool deck, respond to emergencies, and enforce pool policies.
Requirements
- Ability to work with and respond to members, and to relate to people of diverse attitudes and interests.
- WSI certification preferred but not required
- American Red Cross Lifeguard and First Aid/CPR certifications or YMCA Lifeguard or Star Guard or Ellis and Ellis Lifeguarding, BSA lifeguarding
- Must be a skilled swimmer and able to pull weight through the water
- Must be physically able to rescue someone drowning or injured in the water
