Provide services to residential program participants and crisis help line callers, including empowerment-based crisis counseling and assistance with safety plans. Hours: 3-11PM Monday through Friday.
Requirements
- Assess participants' needs
- Answer the crisis hotline and provide callers with empowerment-based crisis counseling
- Assess lethality of participant's situation
- Assist participant with the development and implementation of a safety plan
- Provide information on the dynamics of domestic violence
- Provide empowerment-based counseling
- Assist with filing for restraining orders and other petitions
- Assist victims in securing rights and services from other agencies
- Maintain and report statistical measurements
- Maintain documentation
- Refer/advocate to community resources
