Job Description
Zachry Nuclear Engineering, Inc. (ZNE) is seeking a Designer II, Civil/Structural & Mechanical for a direct hire position. The role involves creating detailed engineering drawings in 2D and 3D, ensuring accuracy through checking and resolving discrepancies. Participation in field walk downs and interfacing with customers/construction representatives are required.
Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation CAD software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Technical knowledge of structural components and design principles
- Time management skills
- Ability to pass security and drug screening
- Working knowledge of structural steel types
- Working knowledge of mechanical design principles
- Independent judgment
- Ability to work independently and concurrently
- Ability to perform walk downs in industrial plant environments
- Physical requirements (climbing, lifting, working at heights, limited access)
- Understanding and compliance with company policies and processes
