Mechanic I

An Industrial Mechanic will install, assemble, dismantle, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair machinery at an Industrial Power Plant.

Requirements

• Works with industry-specific and high complex equipment
• Plan, inspect, verify and document the scope of work
• Replace gaskets and other defective parts on machinery.
• Dismantle machines using hammers, wrenches, crowbars and other hand tools
• Assemble and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors and tram rails
• Operate engine lathes, grinders, and files.
• Fabricate and install parts, equipment and machinery by measuring, cutting, drilling and/or welding
• Turn machine parts to dimensional specifications
• Unload, inspect, move and set equipment into position using cranes, hoists, dollies, rollers and trucks
• Conducts preventative maintenance such as lubrication and fixing or repairing worn parts.
