Sr Engineer Civil/Structural

Zachry Engineering Corporation is looking for a self-motivated Senior Structural Engineer to lead industrial steel & concrete structural projects and serve as a technical Subject Matter Expert.

Requirements

• Lead and provide technical guidance throughout the structural design and engineering process
• Coordinate, review and approve building design plans
• Provide specific to discipline technical expertise to junior engineering personnel
• Prepare data and visualizations for complex data interpretation or presentation
• Prepare comprehensive structural technical reports and presentations
• Analyze, evaluate, and interpret data obtained during site investigations
• Interact with architects, consultants, and clients in a confident and professional manner
• Responsible for the design and safety of temporary structures used during construction
• Consider construction costs, government regulations, and potential environmental hazards
• Perform material take offs for steel and concrete on industrial projects
• Write technical specifications and scopes of work for steel, concrete, and geotechnical materials
• Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria
• Travel to job sites and participate in walkdowns and provide construction or commissioning support
• Coordinate with other disciplines, departments, and companies for seamless technical compatibility and completion of engineering tasks
