Job Description
The Security Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the enterprise security architecture for Emerge, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of patient health information (PHI), clinical systems, and services delivered to Community Connect clinics.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of experience in information security or infrastructure engineering, with at least 5 years in a security architecture role.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA Security Rule, HITECH, and PHI protection requirements.
- Experience designing secure architectures for cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
- Hands-on experience with security tools (EDR/XDR, SIEM, IAM/MFA, DLP, firewalls, vulnerability management).
- Knowledge of network protocols, identity architectures, authentication, encryption, and zero trust principles.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM
