Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

Role Overview

As a Maintenance Technician at Atlas Tube at Zekelman Industries, Kansas City, MO, this role plays a critical part in ensuring the safe repair and rebuild of tube mill production equipment. Reporting to the supervisor, this position focuses on maximizing equipment quality, uptime, rate, and yield.

What You Will Do

Perform electrical maintenance on production equipment while following all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and quality issues, escalating concerns when necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, preferably in a maintenance role
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred; apprenticeship, journeyman training, military service, or equivalent mechanical or electrical training preferred
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, precision measuring devices, such as, micrometers, calipers, and interpretation of technical drawings
• Strong mechanical experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and PLCs
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and perform basic math calculations
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment
• Ability to pass job-related testing, an employment physical, and a post-offer drug screen
