Maintenance Technician

Role Overview

As a Maintenance Technician at Wheatland Tube at Zekelman Industries, this role plays a critical part in ensuring the safe repair and rebuild of tube mill production equipment. Reporting to the supervisor, this position focuses on maximizing equipment quality, uptime, rate, and yield.

What You Will Do

Perform electrical maintenance on production equipment, troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and quality issues, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, preferably in a maintenance role
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; apprenticeship, journeyman training, military service, or equivalent mechanical or electrical training preferred
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, precision measuring devices, and interpretation of technical drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude with familiarity in electrical systems and PLCs
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and perform basic math calculations
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment
• Ability to pass job-related testing, an employment physical, and a post-offer drug screen
