Maintenance Technician

Role Overview

As a Maintenance Technician at Zekelman Industries, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe repair, rebuild, and maintenance of tube mill production equipment. Your focus will be on maximizing equipment quality, uptime, rate, and yield to support efficient manufacturing operations.

What You Will Do

Performs electrical maintenance on equipment, monitors inventory levels, utilizes manual and computerized maintenance management systems, reads and interprets blueprints, and troubleshoots and resolves electrical, mechanical, and quality issues.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a heavy manufacturing environment, preferably in a maintenance role
• High school diploma or equivalent required; apprenticeship, journeyman training, military service, or equivalent mechanical/electrical training preferred
• Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, precision measuring devices, and interpretation of technical drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude with familiarity in electrical systems and PLCs
• Effective communication skills in English with the ability to perform basic math calculations
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment
• Ability to pass job-related testing, an employment physical, and a drug screening
