Job Description
Zenas is seeking a Vice President, Head of Intellectual Property to lead its global IP function, including patent strategy and trademark protection. The ideal candidate will have hands-on in-house biotech experience and a strong understanding of Hatch-Waxman and BPCIA regulatory frameworks.
Requirements
- Lead global IP strategy for a portfolio of antibodies and small molecules
- Manage and optimize patent portfolio across patent types
- Serve as patent advisor to the organization
- Collaborate with R&D, clinical, and manufacturing teams
- Oversee outside counsel managing global patent portfolio
- Work with in-license and out-license partners
- Create and implement comprehensive patent lifecycle strategies
- Oversee regulatory exclusivity matters
- Lead IP due diligence
- Draft and negotiate IP-related provisions in commercial contracts
