Job Description
Zero Homes is seeking a Sr. Electric Home Designer to serve as an in-house technical expert, responsible for completing Manual J/S calculations, scoping electrical requirements, specifying equipment upgrades, and ensuring designs meet quality standards. The role involves collaborating with various teams to deliver high-quality, energy-efficient solutions and accelerating the transition to all-electric homes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of system design experience and/or relevant deep technical experience, including load calculations, equipment selection, and/or energy modeling
- Deep understanding of residential buildings (i.e., Building Science, residential mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), heat pump technology, and heat pump products)
- Fluency in data-driven tooling and software, such as spreadsheets, python, etc.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field preferred but not required
