Job Description
Zhone Technologies is seeking a Senior Hardware Designer to lead development projects for carrier-grade optical line systems and broadband fiber access systems. The role involves architectural, design, testing, and delivery, working with various manufacturers to ensure technical specifications meet design goals. The company empowers broadband access and connectivity solutions for service providers globally.
Requirements
- Degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
- 12+ years experience in optical transport or fiber access equipment development
- Experience with 1RU-14RU system requirements and high-speed optical and access fiber transmission systems
- Experience with board level development and being a lead designer for development projects
- Experience with design for testability and manufacturability concepts
- Experience in developing environmentally hardened optical transport and access systems
- Experience with a variety of optical interfaces and telecommunications standards up to 400G and beyond is an asset
