Job Description
Zipline is seeking a Head of Global Supplier Industrialization to lead the supplier industrialization and supplier development engineering functions. The role involves building a team, processes, and culture to enable Zipline's massive scale-up while maintaining quality, delivery, and cost. The ideal candidate will have experience in supplier quality, supplier development, or manufacturing/industrialization engineering in safety-critical or regulated hardware.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering
- 8-15+ years in supplier quality, supplier development, or manufacturing/industrialization engineering in safety-critical or regulated hardware
- 8+ years directly managing and scaling technical teams of 10+ engineers
- Multiple end-to-end APQP and PPAP cycles
- Proven track record taking complex suppliers from prototype to full-rate production
- Expert-level command of GD&T, MSA, SPC, FAI, PFMEA, Control Plans, and DOE
- Hands-on experience building and defending bottom-up should-cost models
- Demonstrated ability to create new processes and tools in high-growth environments
