The Manager, OSP Engineering will be responsible for managing OSP Engineering activities performed by both Ziply employees and engineering vendors, ensuring that work performed meets or exceeds quality standards and projects are completed per design, on-time and within the allocated budget.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of outside plant (OSP) experience, including quoting, permitting and other pre-construction activities.
- Developed leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and lead others.
- Experience using fiber optic network documentation tools.
- Advanced understanding of the permitting process for railroad, DOT, cities, counties, and pole owners.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and satisfactory driving record.
- Must complete a pre-employment drug screening.
- Experience managing capital budgets.
- Computer competency including proficiency with Microsoft Suite and understanding of database programs.
- Ability to type minimum of 40 WPM 40.
- Ability to consistently deliver outstanding customer service to all internal and external customers.
- Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment and reasoning skills to a variety of situations.
- Ability to multi-task and collaborate effectively with other personnel to meet deadlines.
- Ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities.
- Strong verbal and written communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals, teams, managers, supervisors, and external customers, as well as cohesively across departments.
