Startup-like company with flat hierarchy and communicative collaboration, offering flexible working hours and opportunities for growth and development.
As a Linux Developer, you will be responsible for creating, updating, and testing new and existing Debian packages for various Linux systems. You will also be responsible for automating the installation of our Linux systems, so that everything runs smoothly in the practices and our technicians can intervene as little as possible. You will also be responsible for the deployment and release of our packages in our repositories. You will help our customers with secure and reliable operation of their servers through error analysis, system extensions, and if necessary, system restoration.
This position can be worked from home 100% of the time. You do not need to live in Thuringia or the surrounding area to work with us, but can determine for yourself when and where you want to work. A part-time position is also not a problem, but it would be ideal if you can dedicate at least 30 hours of your time per week to us.
To start as a Linux Developer directly, you will need comprehensive Linux knowledge, ideally Debian. It would be cool if you already have experience with creating Linux packages and repositories, but that's not a problem if you don't. You will also bring experience in analyzing runtime problems in Linux systems (network, storage, memory, etc.) and must not look up the words virtualization and container in the dictionary to understand what it's about.
To get started with us, it is essential that you speak German at least at C1 level.
