Staff Firmware/BIOS Developer

Staff Firmware/BIOS Developer responsible for developing platform BIOS, reference code and related documentation for ZT Cloud Servers, working closely with design teams and responsible for all software and BIOS related issues during the planning, development, and validation stages of the program.

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 5+ years of experience including BIOS Development (alternatively an MS degree and 3+ years of experience)
• Demonstrated C, C++ coding and X-86 Assembly language skills
• Knowledge of internal operations of Operating Systems and its interaction with BIOS functions
• Understanding of processor and Enterprise system level architecture
• Experience in user interface development or presentation layer development
• Extensive hardware skills: Enterprise platform, BIOS, Drivers, IO technologies
• Development of legacy BIOS such as Phoenix, AMI and hands-on experience with UEFI/EDK II/ Linux Boot
• X-86 CPUs, memory controllers, IO Hubs, and PC architecture
• Industry specifications such as PCI, ACPI, DDR, CXL
• Working knowledge of BMC functions related to BIOS
• Board level diagnostic tools/utilities
