Application Engineer

Role Overview

As a(n) Application Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. You will be part of an application engineering team for 3M's optical connector portfolio, guiding small teams of technicians, establishing test plans, and working with local and division manufacturing teams on projects focused on improving manufacturing operations.

What You Will Do

You will conduct tests, analyze data, complete test reports, write SOPs, and public facing white papers on 3M's fiber optic product performance. You will also interface with a global team and contribute to new product development and support of existing platforms.

Why It Might Be a Fit

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree or higher, three years of application engineering and product support experience, and experience with laboratory test equipment, mechanical aptitude, and industry standards. You will also need to have strong communication skills and be able to work closely with customers.
