Job Description
Georgia Power’s Land Department is seeking a motivated GIS Technician to assist in managing and maintaining spatial data systems. This entry-level position will support various GIS-related tasks including data entry, map creation, QA/QC, and database maintenance.
Requirements
- Assist with data entry, updates, and QA/QC in GIS databases
- Support spatial data maintenance and integration across systems
- Create maps and exhibits to support land acquisition and project updates
- Combine data from multiple sources for cartographic products
- Produce feasibility and project update maps
- Attend training to develop proficiency in GIS tools and standards
- Assist senior GIS Analysts in larger project initiatives
