Job Description
The Substance Use Recovery Specialist will implement harm reduction and housing first principles within ACOF's diverse apartment complex. This role involves coordinating services, supporting tenants in accessing resources, and establishing relationships with relevant community organizations. The specialist will focus on understanding the client's mental health and substance use issues and connecting them to appropriate support and resources.
Requirements
- One (1) year professional experience working with adults with disabilities within a residential setting providing substance use counseling
- Sound judgement and excellent problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of Harm Reduction and Housing First principles
- Ability to work with diverse tenant population to promote independent living skills
- Knowledge of public benefit and social service systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft software programs
- Valid California driver’s license
