Academy Applied Academic Program Instructor

Provide life and workforce skills instruction for adults 18 and older who have a developmental disability and or Autism and prepare them for effective independent living and securing a sustainable competitive wage within the community they wish to work, live and grow.

Requirements

• Highly developed organizational, time management, human relations and interpersonal communication and writing skills;
• Self-motivated, flexible, and creative;
• Experience with planning, creating, and coordinating applied academic and vocational activities;
• Ability to multi-task and solve problems;
• Develop and implement staff schedule;
• Knowledgeable in handling crisis and medical emergency situations within a classroom or other learning environment(s), as it relates to I/DD and Autism;
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations, guidelines, and standards in the areas of applied academics and vocational training to ensure a safe learning environment;
