Support Counselor

Provide direct care and supervision in a supportive, therapeutic environment while documenting and reporting behaviors, occurrences, and conditions. Support and assist with client personal care, daily living skills, and self-help skills.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with developmentally disabled adults
• DSP 1 and DSP 2 required
• Valid CA driver's license with good driving record and the ability to be insured by the agency insurer
• Effective communication, critical thinking, and problem solving skills needed
• Ability to establish a therapeutic rapport with clients and families
• Must be a team player and flexible with hours and scheduling
