Counter Access Analyst III

Role Overview

Provide technical support for the AFCENT Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC) at Shaw AFB. Build tactical and strategic network profiles for specific systems and complete network architecture. Utilize network intrusion devices and available cyber defense infrastructure to minimize threats to AFCENT Networks.

What You Will Do

Conduct cyber hunt activities, analyze AFCENT network IDS and IPS for evidence of malicious cyber activity, and develop and deploy advanced threat mitigation strategies. Conduct threat emulation testing, develop and deploy countermeasures, and conduct network and computer forensics on suspected and confirmed compromised systems.

Must have 5+ years experience in network and cyber security, Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and Security+, Network+, or CCNA certification. Must be able to maintain current knowledge on new vulnerabilities and exploits, malware behavior and propagation characteristics, and anti-virus tools.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in network and cyber security
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Security+ certified
• Network+ or CCNA certified
• ITIL v5 Foundations certification
• Firewall experience
• Intrusion detection and vulnerability assessments experience
• Networking experience including routers and switches
• PKI, IP (TCP, UDP), and log reading filtering knowledge
• US citizenship
• Current Secret clearance
