Cyber Security Engineer II

Role Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to provide technical support for the AFCENT Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC) at Shaw AFB. This is a full-time position. The role involves installing, configuring, maintaining, and managing security devices, providing technical advice, and assisting in development and documentation of sensor process and checklists.

What You Will Do

Install, configure, and manage security devices, provide technical advice, assist in development and documentation, diagnose and resolve end user problems, ensure end users adhere to security policies, build network profiles, develop system concept of operations, and conduct troubleshooting and fault isolation.

Must have 3+ years of cyber security experience, Associate's degree in a related field, and relevant certifications such as Security+, Network+, and ITIL v5 Foundations. Must be detail-oriented, possess strong analytical and communication skills, and be able to work in a multi-disciplined environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of cyber security experience
• Associate's degree in a related field
• Security+ certified
• Network+ or CCNA certified
• ITIL v5 Foundations certification
• Familiar with DIACAP, Risk Management Framework (RMF), STIGs, and IA Controls
• Experience with development/architecture for apps and services, and testing and administration
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows technologies
• Basic Linux experience
• Networking experience including routers, switches, and firewalls
• Experience with Cisco and Juniper
• US citizenship
• Current Secret clearance
