Systems Engineer

Role Overview

Abacus Technology is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide ground avionics engineering support for the AFLCMC Command, Control, Communication, Intelligence and Networks (C3I&N) Directorate at Eglin AFB.

What You Will Do

Provide engineering and Tactical Data Link (LINK 16, SADL) support, setup and operate equipment, operate Tactical Radios, and conduct training for military and civilian members.

Why It Might Be a Fit

Must have in-depth knowledge and experience with LINK-16, SADL and other Tactical Data Link systems and message protocols, and be able to elicit and interpret requirements and translate to technical specifications/system design.

Requirements

• 12+ years experience in systems engineering
• 5 years experience in a DoD environment
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• In-depth knowledge and experience with LINK-16, SADL and other Tactical Data Link systems and message protocols
• Knowledge of Flight Line Maintenance procedures and a working knowledge of both AC and DC electrical power and Radio Frequency characteristics
• Ability to elicit and interpret requirements and translate to technical specifications/system design
• Ability to communicate with management, technical staff, and end users in a clear and professional manner
• Experience with engineering practices, techniques, and standards
• Top Secret clearance
