Senior R&D Engineer

Abbott is a global healthcare leader seeking a Senior R&D Engineer to provide mechanical engineering support in the creation and development of new medical device products. The role involves researching, developing, designing, and evaluating mechanical and electro-mechanical materials, components, assemblies, processes, and equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree (± 16 years) related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Masters Degree (± 18 years) preferred.
• Minimum 6 years related work experience with a strong understanding of specified functional area.
• Wide application of technical principles, practices, and procedures.
• Experience with CAD.
• Experience with GD&T.
• Strong understanding of business unit function and cross group dependencies/relationships.
• Will perform this job in a quality system environment.
• Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.
