Job Description
Abilities First, Inc. is seeking a Patient, Energetic, and Passionate Substitute Special Education Teacher for their LaGrange School program in Poughkeepsie, NY. This is a part-time, on-site role requiring the assessment, planning, implementation, and oversight of all age-appropriate educational activities. The role involves assisting students with classroom tasks and, when necessary, attending to their needs in absence of the full-time teacher.
Requirements
- Assess student developmental level using a standardized assessment tool.
- Plan and implement instructional programs based on individual needs and the curriculum.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment and student supervision.
- Adhere to agency Code of Legal and Ethical Behavior.
