Job Description
The HVAC Engineer is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and operating heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems within the facility under the supervision of the Chief Engineer and/or Assistant Chief Engineer.
Requirements
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC and refrigeration equipment
- Diagnose HVAC system malfunctions and ensure effective solutions
- Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on all HVAC-related building systems
- Utilize building automation systems (BAS) to track and resolve HVAC operational issues
- Maintain accurate documentation, including service records, daily logs, equipment performance data, and compliance reports
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local codes, as well as safety policies and facility-specific regulations
- Provide hands-on support and knowledge-sharing with fellow engineering team members
- Participate in required communication with management, tenants, and facility staff
