Security Customer Service Officer

We are seeking a Security & Customer Service Officer to work at Gyle Shopping Centre in Edinburgh, UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and welfare of customers and retailers, as well as providing customer service and assisting with various tasks throughout the day.

Requirements

• Dealing with customer complaints
• Assisting members of the public
• Attending first aid incidents
• Fire/bomb evacuation
• Assisting retailers with shoplifters
• Policing the customer and staff car parks
• Dealing with lost/found children
• Dealing with lost/found property
• Assisting motorists
• Fire testing of retail units' fire alarm systems
• Monitoring the Centre fire alarm panel
• Monitoring the Centre CCTV system
• Reporting defects/spillages
• Signing in of all visitors
• Operating and monitoring the Centre intruder alarm system
• Radio operation and maintenance
• Control of all contractors
• Control and issue of all Centre keys
• Opening and closing the Centre
• Carry out bank escorts
• Police Liaison
• Enforce the strict no smoking policy
• Implement all emergency procedures
• Patrol the mall areas
• Customer Service Desk Duties
• Weekly checks on retailer's compliance to the Fire Precautions Act
• Weekly checks on unoccupied units
• Daily, weekly & monthly health and safety checks
