Job Description
Teaching at Academy of Hope: Academy of Hope Adult PCS teachers are at the heart of our school’s mission to provide high quality adult education and services that change lives and improve our communities. Evening Language Arts Teachers are responsible for creating a supportive, empowering learning environment for adult learners and delivering quality content area instruction in writing and reading/social studies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and adult education or high school teaching experience required
- Experience with Common Core and/or College and Career Readiness Standards for Adults
- Content knowledge related to GED Reasoning through Language Arts and Social Studies tests
- Strong cultural competency skills required, including excellent ability to communicate with a diverse population
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong computer skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
