Job Description
We're seeking a Press Assistant to assist the Press Operator in setting up and operating a Windmoller & Holscher printing machine safely and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, basic math skills, and experience working in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- Comply with established safety policies and procedures
- Order film and packaging from the warehouse
- Load, position, and adjust unprinted materials on holding fixtures or in equipment loading and feeding mechanisms
- Blend, manage, mix, store, and maintain solvent based inks according to types of material being printed and work order specifications
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and process issues
- Generate labels to track production output and labels output rolls
- Package and palletize material utilizing a hoist
- Operate electric forklifts to maneuver pallets to designate areas
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of press components and work area
