Intake Specialist

The Intake Specialist has a broad range of responsibilities, including accurate and timely data entry, communication with referral sources, and utilization of technology to notate patient information. They serve as a subject matter expert and conduct new hire training. The role requires excellent customer service, verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in computer systems. The Intake Specialist works in a professional office setting with variable stress levels and must maintain confidentiality of patient and insurance information.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate’s degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
• One (1) year of work-related experience (varies by level: Entry, Senior, Lead)
• Related experience in healthcare administrative, financial, or insurance customer services, claims, billing, call center, or management
• Exact job experience in a healthcare organization, pharmacy, or healthcare services
