As a Security and Emergency Services Specialist, you will strengthen and implement security and safety policies and programs designed to protect ADB personnel, facilities, assets, and official visitors. Your role will involve providing physical security expertise, overseeing daily HQ security operations, conducting risk assessments, and developing security policies and procedures.
Requirements
- University degree in public or business administration, political science, international law or related fields; preferably at post-graduate level or equivalent.
- Professional certifications (e.g., Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), International Organization for Standardization (ISO) or equivalent) are an advantage.
- At least 6 years of professional experience in corporate security, disaster or emergency management, and liaison with government security services within a corporation, government organization, international institution, or diplomatic security setting.
- International experience working in several countries.
- Demonstrated operational experience in protective security operations for critical infrastructure and special events, including guard force management, executive protection, and application of security technologies.
- Experience with contract oversight, vendor management, and security-related procurement processes and best practices.
- Experience in liaising and engagement with senior staff, and with senior officials in client governments, collaborator agencies and civil society.
- Experience with physical security information technologies, supporting modernization initiatives, including system upgrades, integration, digitization, and lifecycle management of security infrastructure.
- Leadership experience including mentoring junior team members.
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity, client management skills, and capability to foster harmony within a multicultural organizational work environment.
- Excellent command in written and verbal communication skills in English.
