Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice.
- Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in state of practice.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) or HS-BLS or RQIBLS certification.
- Interviews patients and constructs medical histories.
- Perform physical examinations and assesses patient behavior.
- Provide appropriate patient education.
- Prescribes medications and performs procedures under the scope of a nurse practitioner.
