Maintains responsibility for operating and providing adequate maintenance to polysomnographic equipment. Analyzes and conducts sleep studies, in order to provide an accurate diagnosis for patients with sleep disorders. Follows strict safety and privacy protocols.
Requirements
- High School Education/GED or equivalent
- Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience
- Two years' technical experience
- One year's sleep lab/EEG experience
- Experience with EEG amplifiers and filters
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) or Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification
- Facility Specific License/Certifications: AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS or AHA-CPR or ARC-CPR
- State Respiratory Therapist (RCP/RRT)
