A Polysomnographic Technologist Sr. works under the general supervision of the Medical Director to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders. The role involves polysomnography, diagnostic and therapeutic services, and patient care and education.
Requirements
- Formal training in polysomnography program
- Enrolled in a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or a Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) program with the polysomnography option
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a fully registered, full-time polysomnographic technologist
- Three years' experience working in the field of Sleep Medicine required
- CRT-Polysomnographic Technologist-BRPT (Board of Registered) Required or CRT-Respiratory Therapist Registry-NBRC (National Board of Respiratory Care) Required or CRT-Registered Sleep Technologist-ABSM (American Board of Sleep Medicine) Required or CRT-Basic Life support Required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
