Job Description
Performs ultrasonic diagnostic procedures, supervises and mentors ultrasound personnel, and maintains equipment. Produces images of internal body tissues to diagnose and monitor conditions such as heart disease, pregnancy, and cancer. Maintains accurate records and adheres to HIPAA and patient confidentiality guidelines.
Requirements
- Diploma/certificate from an Ultrasound college/school: Required
- Licenses/Certifications: ACR Accredited Sites, ARDMS certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB) or Vascular (RVT); or Cardiovascular Credentialing International Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI-RVS); or Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Sonography (S) or (VS) within one year of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- Facility Specific License/Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or CCI Registered Vascular Specialist (CCI RVS) or ARRT-Vascular Sonography (ARRT-VS) or ARRT-Sonography (ARRT-S): Required
