Job Description
The Stationary Engineer will maintain and control all plant equipment, including boilers, chillers, pumps, cooling towers, and associated equipment. The role involves maintaining, servicing, and repairing equipment, coordinating outside contractor support, and documenting transactions. The ideal candidate will have a 1st Class Stationary Engineer License, strong knowledge of boiler safety and power distribution, and experience in commercial or hospital central utility plant operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of experience in commercial or hospital central utility plant operations
- 1st Class Stationary Engineer License State of Maryland
- Valid US Driver's License
- Strong knowledge of boiler safety and power distribution
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read blueprints
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Ability to prioritize and remain calm in demanding situations
- Able to use hand and power tools
